In spite of living in the highly Competitive Northeast Region, that too Bergen county, New Jersey, along with being an Indian, my daughter Chandni Shah has achieved the unfathomable.
She has not only been accepted to 3 IVY League Colleges but also other highly selective colleges like Johns Hopkins, Duke, UCLA (which had the greatest amount of students to ever apply –more than 100,000 students), UC Berkeley (both which hold a bias to Californians), Tufts, Carnegie Melon and many many more.
And, she has been accepted in the Highly Selective Scholars Program at (UPenn-an IVY League University) University of Pennsylvania, which is offered to only 25 incoming Freshmen.
As a graduating high school senior she has been bestowed upon the highly Prestigious Roberge Award for excellence in Academies, Extra Curricular and Community Service.
In her fours years as a high school student, she has been awarded more than 20 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for Public Speaking, Debate, Journalism, Math, Science, Italian, etc. at the National, State and County Levels.
She has also earned the Bi-literacy Seal for Hindi and Italian.
As a Brilliant high school student she has interned at Highly Prestigious Hospitals like Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY and Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, India.
If music is her first love, dance is her passion. She has taken a proactive approach to spread the Indian Culture through classical as well as folk dances at various high school events.
She was blessed to perform(Clarinet) at the Met life Stadium, NJ along with her Marching Band for a football game and had been nominated for the NY Metro Award for the best Instrumentalist (Violin) for her high school musical Anything Goes.
She has been instrumental and an inspiration to her high school teachers who are ranked as State and National Best Teachers and have achieved the highly prestigious Fullbright Award.

Besides all this, she is not only an ideal daughter, but also a perfect combination of “Beauty with Brains.”
Chandni will begin a new chapter of her life at (UPenn), University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in Fall 2018.
Proud Mother,
